WHO ARE THE "DAUGHTERS OF SATURN"??

If you are reading this page then CONGRATULATIONS you are already one step ahead of 99% of the American public who have NO IDEA that this organization even exists!!

The "Daughters of Saturn" are a "sororal order" (THEIR words, not mine!!) of elderly women operating in at LEAST 14 states with "chapters" they call "Rings" (more on THAT later!!!). They have been active since at MINIMUM 1931 and possibly as far back as the 1880s. They are "affiliated" with no recognized church, lodge, or civic organization. They answer to NO ONE.

They meet on the second Saturday of every month in private homes, library back rooms, and "function halls" that they RENT UNDER ASSUMED NAMES. I have personally verified this in the Allegheny County area!! The meetings last between 2 and 4 hours. NO outside observers are permitted. When I attempted to attend a meeting in Monroeville in March of this year I was told by a woman who identified herself ONLY as "Sister Dorcas" that I would need to leave or she would "call someone." She did NOT say who.

They claim to be a "benevolent sisterhood" dedicated to "the study of time, patience, and the cultivation of wisdom." DO NOT BE FOOLED.

Ask yourself: Why does a "book club" need a SECRET HANDSHAKE???

WHAT WE "KNOW" (So Far)

Through 14 months of personal investigation, public records requests (MOST of which were "LOST" by county clerks -- coincidence??), and interviews with former neighbors and acquaintances of known members, I have assembled the following:

"It is by their SYMBOLS that you shall KNOW them" -- this is what they don't want you to see

EVERY initiated Daughter of Saturn wears an identical silver ring on the LEFT INDEX FINGER (NOT the ring finger -- why??). I have now observed this ring at close range on THREE separate occasions and have produced the following diagram from memory. I am NOT an artist but the details are ACCURATE.

SYMBOL-BY-SYMBOL BREAKDOWN:

1. THE SATURN SIGIL -- This is the alchemical and astrological symbol for the planet Saturn. Saturn is the "ruler of time" and also the god who ATE HIS OWN CHILDREN. You will note the sickle shape. This is NOT a coincidence in light of the fact that the eldest member is reportedly called "The Scythe." In ancient Rome, Saturn presided over a period of TOTAL INVERSION of social order called the Saturnalia. Think about that.

2. THE HOURGLASS -- Standard symbol of mortality and the passage of time. BUT ALSO: an hourglass can be TURNED OVER. Time reversed. I believe this is central to their philosophy. Multiple witnesses describe Daughters as looking "remarkably well-preserved" for their age. A woman I spoke to at the Greensburg Giant Eagle said that her neighbor, a known Daughter, has "looked the same since 1971." I am NOT saying what I think this means. I am just REPORTING.

3. THE OUROBOROS -- The serpent eating its own tail. This is one of the oldest symbols in ALL of Western occultism!! It means eternity, the cycle of death and rebirth. It appears in Gnostic texts. It appears in ALCHEMY. It appears on Masonic documents. And it appears on the finger of every Daughter of Saturn in America. WHY??

4. THE KEY -- A key to what?? I have asked this question every day for six months. My current theory: the key represents ACCESS. To what? To WHERE? Note that the key is positioned at an ANGLE -- 45 degrees. In Masonic tradition, the 45-degree angle is associated with the "Fellow Craft" degree. I am not saying these women are Masons. I am saying someone TAUGHT them this symbolism and that someone knew EXACTLY what they were doing!!!

5. THE SIX STARS -- Six stars around the perimeter. There are known to be chapters in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Kentucky. That is SIX STATES. Coincidence?? I used to think so. I don't anymore.

6. THE LATIN INSCRIPTION -- The rim of the ring bears the words "TEMPUS EDAX RERUM" which translates to "TIME, DEVOURER OF ALL THINGS." This is from OVID. Book 15 of the Metamorphoses. A poem about TRANSFORMATION. About things BECOMING other things. About the refusal to accept that anything truly ends.

MY "PERSONAL EXPERIENCE"

I first became aware of the Daughters of Saturn in February 1996 when my late aunt's estate was being settled. Among her possessions was a small cedar box containing: a silver ring (described above), a hand-copied page of text in an alphabet I DO NOT RECOGNIZE, and a photograph of eleven women standing in a semicircle in what appears to be a "back yard somewhere in the Mon Valley" circa 1960. All the women are smiling. None of them are identified.

My aunt was 89 when she died. I did not know she was a member of ANYTHING. She was a retired school librarian. She made very good lemon squares. She voted Republican. She appeared to be a "totally normal" elderly woman.

THAT IS EXACTLY THE POINT.

When I showed the ring to a woman at the Monroeville library (who I LATER learned was ALSO a Daughter), she looked at me with an expression I can only describe as "completely still." Like a SPHINX. She said, "Where did you get that." It was not a question. Then she walked away and I did not see her again for three weeks.

I have since been told by two separate people, both "anonymously," to "stop asking questions." I will NOT stop asking questions.

Q: Aren't they just a bunch of old ladies in a social club??

A: That is what they WANT you to think. Ask yourself: why the secrecy?? Why the code names?? Why does an 83-year-old woman need to rent a hall under a FAKE NAME to have a "meeting" with her "friends"?? My grandmother had friends. They played CANASTA. They did NOT have a secret handshake and a ring with OCCULT SYMBOLOGY on it!!!

Q: What do you think they're actually "doing"??

A: I DON'T KNOW. That is what is so concerning!!! They could be doing ANYTHING. I do not want to speculate without evidence because I am not a TABLOID I am a RESEARCHER. But I will say that the symbolism on that ring is NOT the symbolism of people who are "just getting together for coffee."

Q: Have you contacted the authorities??

A: I filed a report with the Allegheny County police in June 1997. The officer I spoke to said, and I QUOTE: "Sir, being in a club is not illegal." He then asked me to leave. I noticed he was wearing a RING on his left hand but I was not close enough to identify it. MAKE OF THAT WHAT YOU WILL.

Q: Are you "crazy"??

A: NO. I am a retired electrical engineer with a BSEE from Penn State (1968) and I worked for Westinghouse for 27 years. I am methodical. I am thorough. I document EVERYTHING. My ex-wife says I am "obsessive" but she also said the garage didn't need to be organized by Dewey Decimal and she was WRONG about that too.

WHAT "YOU" CAN DO

• LOOK at the left index finger of every elderly woman you encounter. If you see a silver ring with the Saturn sigil, DO NOT CONFRONT HER. Note the date, time, and location and EMAIL ME.
• If you live in PA, OH, WV, VA, MD, or KY, check your local library's meeting room reservation logs. Look for reservations under the names "Kronos Club," "Ladies Auxiliary of St. Rhea," or "Golden Hours Society."
• If you have a deceased relative who may have been a member, SEARCH THEIR BELONGINGS for the ring, the cedar box, or documents in an unrecognized alphabet. DO NOT DESTROY THESE.
• DO NOT go to their meetings. I tried. They will NOT let you in and the one called "Sister Dorcas" is VERY persuasive in her insistence that you leave.
• SPREAD THIS PAGE. Print it. Email it. The only defense against secrecy is INFORMATION.

I am currently working on a FULL DECODE of the alphabet found in my aunt's cedar box. It does NOT match any known cipher I have tested (Caesar, Vigenere, Atbash, Playfair). It does NOT match Enochian, Theban, or Malachim scripts. Some characters RESEMBLE Linear B but this may be coincidence. CHECK BACK SOON.
